At Homestead.com, Lloyd Lim is the
User Interface Designer in the Product Design Group. Homestead.com
provides easy-to-use website editing tools and mainly targets small
business owners. Lloyd was recognized for being instrumental in the area of Information Architecture Modeling. With his ability to understand various view points that exist in the organization and the ability to gather detailed business requirements, Lloyd was able to build Information Architecture that is user-friendly and intuitive to use for the end-users. Lloyd also designed numerous Workflows and Forms that allowed for improved business efficiency for the customers. With his expertise in User Interface Design and Usability, he was able to design numerous solutions that were well accepted by the business users. Prior to joining Open Text, Lloyd has worked with
Professor Paul K. Wright to receive Master’s Degree in Mechanical
Engineering from UC Berkeley. His focus was on High-Tech Product
Design and the research projects include FIRE and Athlete’s
Health Monitoring System. With his innovative idea on Athlete’s
Health Monitoring System that utilizes wireless sensor network,
he became the recipient of Lucent Fellowship. Born in Champaign,
IL, he attended University of Nebraska, Lincoln, and Yonsei University
in Korea, before coming to UC Berkeley.
